Many countries with rich resources in Africa are trying to obtain all the benefits of oil and gas resources therein and are working hard towards reducing the importation of things products and boost the capacity of domestic production by developing large scale oil refineries. So therefore, increasing socioeconomic growth.
Nigeria is one of Africa's top producers of crude oil and over the years relentlessly working towards maximizing its natural resources.
Tomorrow, Monday 22 May, President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Lagos Nigeria to inaugurate what will become the largest oil refinery in Africa and consequently, one of the largest in the world, The Dangote Refinery.
Owned by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest person, the refinery is expected to be able to refine about 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil.
