Rodrygo Extends Contract With Real Madrid Till 2028

Great news! I am excited to hear that Rodrygo Goes has signed a new long-term contract with Real Madrid.

This was revealed in a post on X by renowned transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano. In his words Romano posted that "Rodrygo Goes puts pen to paper on new long term deal today — public announcement with Florentino PĂ©rez.

"New contract until June 2028 with €1B release clause, confirmed."

Rodrygo is a very talented young player and I believe he has a bright future ahead of him. I am also glad to see that the club has shown their faith in him by giving him a €1 billion release clause. This is a clear indication that they see him as a key player for the future.

Sure enough, he will be a valuable asset to Real Madrid for many years to come. He is a versatile and dynamic player who can play in a variety of positions. He is also a good finisher and has a knack for scoring important goals.

I am looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and grow as a player at Real Madrid. All lovers of the ball game will be interested to see how the public announcement of his new contract goes today. I am sure that it will be a big event and that the fans will be excited to see Rodrygo commit his future to the club.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated of Ethiopia's Lucy 4-0 in the second leg of their Olympic qualifier match on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja, Nigeria in their run to book a place in the 2024 Olympic games set to take place in Paris.

The Falcons took the lead in the 45th minute through Uchenna Kanu and they went into the break with a 1-0 lead. They doubled their lead few minutes into the second half through Ajibade who got the assist from Oshoala after a beautiful display.

In the 64th minute Oshoala who was obviously the lady of the match got one goal in for herself from a Kanu assist making it 3-0. About four minutes later Ajibade got her second goal through Oshoala's second assist of the match making it 4-0.

The remaining minutes went down with several attempts from both sides with the Falcons getting the better of it.

The Falcons will will now face Cameroon for the final round of the qualifiers. The Cameroon team defeated Uganda on a 3-2 aggregate to make it to the final stage.

The Super Falcons' victory is a welcome development for Nigerian football, as it comes after a string of poor results. The team had failed to qualify for the last three Olympic tournament, their last being Beijing 2008. They will be hoping to qualify ahead of the Cameroon team, their perennial rival, for next year's edition.

Lionel Messi Wins a Record Eighth Ballon d'Or Title

Lionel Messi has won a record eighth Ballon d'Or title, beating Norway's Erling Haaland and his former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe. Messi led Argentina to their first World Cup title in 36 years last year, and his individual performances were also outstanding. He scored seven goals and provided three assists in the tournament, and was named the Golden Ball winner.

Messi's Ballon d'Or win is a testament to his incredible consistency at the highest level. He has been one of the best players in the world for over a decade, and he is still going strong at the age of 36. Messi is a magician on the ball, and he is capable of creating something out of nothing. He is also a clinical goalscorer, and he has scored over 700 goals for club and country.

Messi's Ballon d'Or win is also a great moment for Argentine football. Argentina has a long and proud history of producing world-class players, but they had not won the world cup since 1986. Messi's victory is a sign that Argentine football is on the rise again.

Messi's Ballon d'Or win is a sign of the importance of team success. While individual performances are important, Messi's victory shows that winning trophies with club and country is also a major factor in determining the best player in the world.

The All-time great has achieved everything there is to achieve in football. He has won the Ballon d'Or a record eight times, and he has won every major club and international trophy. However, Messi is still one of the best players in the world, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Messi is currently playing for Inter Miami in the MLS, but it is possible that he could return to Europe before he retires. Messi has also expressed an interest in becoming a manager after he retires.

Whatever Messi chooses to do next, he will be remembered as one of the greatest footballers of all time.

The Nigerian women's national football team, the Super Falcons, will continue their quest to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games today Tuesday, October 31, 2023, when they take on Ethiopia's Lucy.

The match which is the second leg of the second round of the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifier, will be played at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja after the first leg between the two national teams ended in a 1-1 draw at the Abebe Bikila Stadium, Addis Ababa last Wednesday.

The Super Falcons will be hoping to win the match so as to face the winner of the tie between Cameroon and Uganda, also playing same day, for the the third and final round of the African qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Nigerian team failed to qualify for the last three Olympics, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020, but are determined and desperate to return for Paris 2024.

The Super Falcons are one of the most successful women's national teams in Africa, having won the Africa Women's Cup of Nations a record eleven times. They are also the only African team to have reached the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

They are the favorites to win the match, but they will need to be wary of the Lucy, who are a dangerous team on their day having defeated Chad 10-0 on aggregate in the first round.

My Prediction: Super Falcons 3-0 Ethiopia (aggregate)
