Popular polygamist pastor from Botswana, Seraki Kemmonye Seraki, has shared a photo of himself with his two wives, describing them as ‘weather guards.’

Seraki recently revealed that he plans on marrying a third and final wife.

Marcia L. Fudge, Us Housing and Urban Development Secretary, to Lead Biden’s Delegation To Tinubu’s Inauguration as President

President Joe Biden, Jr. had selected the Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Honorable Marcia L. Fudge to lead the United States delegation to the inauguration of Nigeria’s 16th President holding on May 29.

According to a press statement by the White House on Monday, the US Presidential Delegation to attend the Inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima will be lead by Honourable Fudge.

Other members of the delegation are

Mr. David Greene, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., U.S. Embassy Abuja, the Honourable Sydney Kamlager-Dove, United States Representative, California, the Honorable Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce, General Michael E. Also included in the delegation are the Honorable Enoh T. Africa's First Professor of Geology , Jamiu Mosobalaje Oyawoye, is Dead

Professor Jamiu Mosoalaje Oyawoye, the first professor of geology in Africa, is dead. Prince Olukitibi Oyawoye, the professor's first son, confirmed his death on Monday evening.

The professor who died at the age of 96 was from Offa, Kwara State. Before his death, Prince Oyawoye was the Aremo of Offa. He served as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan between 1960 and 1977. He became a professor in 1966 at the age of 39 and became the first Professor of Geology in Africa.

He also served as the Chairman of the West Africa Examinations Council.

Newcastle Are Back To The Champions League After 20 Years

Despite a goalless draw with Leicester City FC at home on Monday it was Newcastle United who were celebrating as they secured Champions League football after 20-year.

Newcastle dominated the game but could not secure a win at home despite amassing a total of 23 shots. Leicester got their first and only attempt at goal in the 93rd minute from Timothy Castagne who volleyed a shot on target, but Nick Pope was on hand to save it and the game ended in both teams sharing the spoils.

The Magpies last played Champions League football in the 2002-2003 season when Alan Shearer was the captain.

Dangote Refinery: Things You Should Know About The Company As It Starts Production Today, 22 May, 2023

The long-awaited Dangote Refinery which was established by Africa's richest person, Aliko Dangote has finally been lunched today.

The ceremony was graced by dignitaries from across the world. From some countries' presidents to dignitaries from the oil sector, governors of Nigerian states to governors-elect and so many politicians in the country together with a host of rich people from different sectors where in Ibeju-Leki, Lagos, for the ceremony. 

Listed below are some things worth knowing about the Dangote Refinery that was lunched by President Muhammadu Buhari.

• The oil facility has been designed in such a way that it would be processing crude oil grades from the three continents of Africa, Asia and America.

• That the refinery has the capacity to meet 100 per cent of Nigeria's daily fuel consumption. That is, for Nigeria, the refinery would deliver about 53 million litres of petrol per day; 34 million litres of diesel per day; 10 million litres per day of kerosene; and two million litres of aviation fuel per day. There is also surplus of each of these products for export.

• 100,000 jobs would be created. The Punch reports that a document obtained from the company contains data showing that the Refinery "could support the establishment of 26,716 fillings stations, create 100,000 direct and indirect jobs, and provide Nigerian crude oil market with an income of $21bn annually."

• It is now by far the largest refinery in Africa and the largest single-train refinery in the world as the refinery located , covers approximately 2,635 hectares of land area in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, seven times bigger than Victoria Island.

• The refinery is expected to address the over-dependence of African countries on imported fuel. According to THISDAY, about 80 per cent of fuel in Africa are currently imported.

• The refinery also has largest pipeline infrastructure in the world, with 1,100 kilometres to handle three billion Standard Cubic Feet per day (Scf/d) of gas.

• With a 435MW-capacity power plant, the refinery is able to meet the total power requirement of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).

Tomorrow, Monday 22 May, President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Lagos Nigeria to inaugurate what will become the largest oil refinery in Africa and consequently, one of the largest in the world, The Dangote Refinery.

Owned by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest person, the refinery is expected to be able to refine about 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil.

The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) held its 9th edition yesterday Saturday May 20, 2023, at Eko Hotel Lagos, to celebrate talents on the African movie and film industry.
