The Gunners took an early lead through Bukayo Saka in the 6th minute and doubled their advantage just seven minutes later through Martin Odegaard. Wolves pulled one back in the 86th minute through Matheus Cunha, but Arsenal held on to secure all three points.
Here are some of the key talking points from the match:
- Arsenal’s young attacking stars continue to shine. Saka and Martinelli were both on the scoresheet in this match and have both been in excellent form this season.
- Wolves showed some fight in the second half but were ultimately unable to get back on level terms.
- Arsenal’s defense was solid for most of the match but did show some signs of weakness late on.
Arsenal’s victory was their seventh in their last ten Premier League matches and extended their lead at the top of the table to four points. Wolves are now give places above the relegation zone occupying the 13th place. Mikel Arteta’s side have been in very good form this season and are looking increasingly like the team to beat in the Premier League.
