Benue State Gov-Elect, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia, yesterday (Tuesday) meet with the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Goodwin Emefiele, in Abuja to strategize on how to hit the ground running ahead of May 29th Inauguration.
Fr Alia who was accompanied by the Benue State Chairman of APC, Comrade Austin Agada, was in the CBN Governor's office to seek urgent intervention of the Apex Bank in addressing major financial crisis bedeviling the state to enable him takeoff successfully.
Benue State Government currently owes civil servants in the excess of 8 months for state civil servants, 12 months for the Local Governments, 16 months for primary school teachers, and well over 78 months of pension to retirees among other financial obligations.
